Welcome to J Simpson Photography studio! I am here to give you some insight into what our studio looks like so you have an idea of what to expect when we meet! I’m also here to share some of the many benefits of studio photography. Let's check it out:
Our Studio
My studio is located on 152 E. Jefferson Street Franklin, IN. We are located right in the heart of Downtown Franklin, just south of the Indy area.
In the studio, we have a big backdrop with lights that are set up for families, headshots, seniors, or anything you need photographed! We also have a posing bag, wraps, and props for the newborn babies. For people that are waiting to be photographed during their shoot, we have a couch for you to sit and relax. We want you to feel as at home as possible while in the studio.
Pros of Studio Photography
One of the many awesome things about studio photography is the lighting. The lighting in a picture can tell the whole story. You can have dramatic lighting, simple lighting, and/or silhouette lighting… the list goes on! With our many lights, we have so much freedom on how we are able to portray an image.
You never have to worry about whether or not the weather will be bad. We can plan for any day, so there is no need to worry about what the weather is going to be like. We can work with you whether it be rainy, cold, or at a time when everything is dead and brown outside.
Studio photography is very private and has less distractions. This is good if you are doing a boudoir session. You can focus on being comfortable, rather than worried about being watched by others. Also, if you have kids, they have less to lose their attention on. They will most likely be focused on the bright lights in front of them!
Everything is in our control. We chose the backdrop and the lighting. We aren’t worried about losing the sun for our light or the trees looking dead in the picture. We pick every aspect of what is going on in the studio!
A bathroom! Just in case you have wardrobe changes or need to fix hair/makeup.
